Norma and family,
We just learned of Red's passing and extend our deepest sympathy to you. Red and Norma were good neighbors to Mom and Dad after they moved next door in Whittemore. We're sure your memories will help get you through this difficult time. Ted and Barb Pompe
Norma and family,
I can't think of Uncle Red without smiling, and this is an impact we should all hope that we can have on the lives of others. To my Aunt Norma and my cousins Gail, Cindy and Denny, thank you for allowing me to get to know Uncle Red and to have him as part of my life. For those of you who are interested, I penned a few of my memories of time with him in this column that I wrote shortly after his passing:
I regret that I will not be able to attend the visitation, as our youngest daughter's graduation ceremony is at the same time. You will all be in my thoughts and prayers -- as will Uncle Red.

Red was my first cousin and in the last years I reconnected with him a few times. I always enjoyed my visits with Red and Norma. I will really miss him. It is with a heavy heart that I offer condolences to Norma and family.
Denny, Jan and family,
So very sorry for your loss. Sending prayers of comfort your way.
Red always had that look that he was "up to something". Turns out, he usually was. They sat behind us in church and you be well-advised to look back before you sat down. :) I remember many a conversation as I played left filed at Noah's part and Norma and Red would sit out under the trees with Red trying to distract me, which he usually did. What a great guy! Great family! Thoughts and prayers to the Lane family.

I was very sad to learn of Red's passing. I have a lot of fond memories of him from when I lived in Whittemore. Sending my deepest sympathies.
He was a great man and kind. I have a lot of good memories of his kindness growing up.
I remember growing up with him on the farm as our neighbor. Now the original Lane and Goodman are back together. May he rest in peace. Dale and Cheryl Baas
